Welcome

Hello, I am Prisilla and a very warm welcome.

I founded “A Place For Counselling" as a boutique firm for people in need of mental health support and guidance.

A Bit of Who I Am

I am a vegetarian by choice and love pets. My current pet is a furry white 12-year-old Japanese Spitz called Vicky. She is smart, affectionate, and responsive and I am often inspired and invigorated by her.

When I am not working, my time is spent between reading, watercolour painting, meditating, walking and indoor cycling. I am a lifelong learner and Psychology books and Chinese classic comics remain my staple diet.

A Bit of What I Excel In

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade in the Middle East, United Kingdom, South Korea, and Mainland China organising trade events. Time spent living away from family and in multicultural social settings have enabled me to resonate well with clients who experienced emotional-related, and interpersonal relationship challenges in their personal and work life.

At the start of my counselling journey, I worked mainly with adults. As I did, I recognised the importance and influence of childhood experiences in a person’s life. This realisation spurred me to further my education and practice into play therapy.

I have 10 years of counselling experiences helping adults and children presented with emotional and behavioural issues in community services setting, private counselling and psychotherapy practices.

Clients described me as patient, empathic, and compassionate. They feel safe and calm in my presence. I find no greater life satisfaction than to help my clients heal and grow and live more fulfilling lives. I look forward to be of service to you.

Gratefully,

Prisilla.

Counselling Services

Mental health is gaining prominence as more people recognised how poor mental health can negatively impact their lives, relationships, and work. Thus it is important for people who  take the courage to seek counselling support to feel safe and trusting in a professional setting.

I work with clients to gain awareness of their difficulties and underlying issues, develop adaptive coping skills, and set goals collaboratively. There are gentle guidance and open suggestions in my sessions.

I provide  Couple Counselling and Play Therapy in person. For Adult Counselling, you have the options of seeing me in-person, online or via texting.
