Play Therapy for Children
( Age 3 to 12 years old)

Is your child struggling with emotional and behavioural difficulties that interfere with his/her classroom learning, friendships, leisure activities or home life?

You tried your level best to help and to no avail leaving you feeling helpless and frustrated.

Parents in similar situations have brought their kids to play therapy and reported significant beneficial changes.

Play Therapy can help!

What is Play Therapy and how it can help ?

At their age, many children have not developed the ability to use words to express what they are thinking or feeling. Faced with problems, they may behave aggressively or withdraw into their shells. Play therapy helps children by using “Play” as the medium of language to express their thoughts and emotions.

A typical play session includes objects such as a sand tray, figurines, puppets, games and stories with play acting. Looking in, a play session may look like a normal play. However empirical studies have shown play therapy as effective in helping a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties children are experiencing.

Under the guidance and direction of a trained therapist, children learn to become more aware of their emotions and thoughts and learn adaptive responses.

Booking Process

Before the first session with your child, a Parent session is required for me to assess and understand your child’s difficulties, health and developmental history, and any possible traumas. Thus, it is important for parents who are keen to book a play therapy session to book an Adult session first.
